  • New York City is one of the most prestigious places in the world, people often believe it is impossible to travel on a budget or with very little money as possible. This article lists the various settings you have at your disposal to make your trip to New York City as affordable as possible.

    Activities

    There are many activities in New York City regardless of your budget. Granted, many of them are expensive, but there are a couple of things you can do without spending a dime "or cost very little.

    Museums and discount days

    Many museums in New York City have discount days or "pay as you wish" days. The greatest thing about this is that days will vary between museums, so it is quite possible to go to museums in a whole week and uses very little money at all on the experience. This is great, because in many cities are you bored this weekend and forced to spend money or to sit in your hotel room, but in New York City, you still have these available options.

    Summer concerts

    Summer is probably the best month to go to New York City. Think about it. during the day, you go sightseeing and visit museums often for free and then during the afternoon or evening you can go to many of the thousands of free Street concerts. The following travel tips for New York City will help you find a great concert, when you are finished with your cultural intake at museums.

    Central Park Summerstage

    Although some of the concerts held in Rumsey Playfield advantages, is the huge amount of them actually free and frequent. You should check timetables at Central Park to see what's playing where.

    New York Philharmonic

    Each year, one week at the beginning of July performs New York Philharmonic in all five New York City municipalities. The Bronx and Staten Island concerts held traditional indoor, but Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens place in the open air and is free of charge.

    Met in the parks

    Metropolitan Opera performing six concerts in various parks around New York City in July and month completely free!
