There are many activities in New York City regardless of your budget. Granted, many of them are expensive, but there are a couple of things you can do without spending a dime "or cost very little.

Museums and discount days

Many museums in New York City have discount days or "pay as you wish" days. The greatest thing about this is that days will vary between museums, so it is quite possible to go to museums in a whole week and uses very little money at all on the experience. New York Philharmonic

Each year, one week at the beginning of July performs New York Philharmonic in all five New York City municipalities. The Bronx and Staten Island concerts held traditional indoor, but Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens place in the open air and is free of charge.
